An intake assessment is required prior to beginning services. The results of this assessment will determine which program is best suited for your child or youth. We identify areas of strength and need for your child/youth in order to create individualized goals and identify the most appropriate program to access. The intake process includes the following:
- Interview with our clinical team to review developmental history, identify goals, and other important information about your child/youth.
- Completion of an individualized assessment with our clinical team. This may include a variety of standardized or curricular assessment tools and observation of your child/youth.
- Development of a service recommendation report to outline the assessment results, strengths and needs, goals, and recommended service type and intensity.
The intake assessment process duration can range from a half day to several days, depending on your child/youth’s skill set and your goals.
